Although it was a league 1 side, it was still a very good performance, this fixtures have been a thorn in Everton's side for a while, we have really struggled against sides that came to Goodison and sat back and defended, but this Everton seems different, even missing some of our most influential players (Jelavic, Fellaini and Pienaar) this team still played some champagne football and carved them open at will, the job was done at half time and we had the chance to throw some kids on to get some experience (Garbutt looks like a Baines version 2 in the making). But for me, it seems the new signings were the standouts, Naismith set up the first and from what I gathered was at the heart of everything, and as for Mirallas, well 2 goals and 2 assists in your home debut, not a bad start if you ask me.

For me, Naismith looks a polished performer with an array of intelligent passes who can also score goals and is very strong in the air. Coleman excelled as right back with a tireless engine up and down the pitch playing the sort of game that only competition for places can produce. I know it's only early days but for me this is a really good Everton side in the making. COYB!!
