Might as well get it out of the way really, personally would anther a team like United instead of a promoted team. Hopefully the boys can be up for it, as United is a big game, and hopefully turn up in August.

Derbies are on the 27th of october and May 4th (3rd last game of the season). And we finish at Chelsea.

1st 5 games
United (H)
Villa (A)
West Brom (A)
Newcastle (H)
Swansea City (A)

Thoughts on the first 5 games?

Both good and bad. Less pressure than there usually is on opening days, and when we're not expected to do much is when we usually do. Having said that Arsenal have battered us several times in the first game... We then have back to back away games which if we take nothing from united...

That United game is the most important game of the season, good performance and a win could set our season up for a potential European spot, loss, and as you said lose and we have to face back to back away games against tough teams and that feeling of "here we go again" will undoubtedly surface.

Rumours are this will be the Monday night game at 8pm. Personally don't mind, don't know what it is, but from watching it seems these night games seem to bring out the best in the fans and the players, and always seems like a great atmosphere at the ground.

Doubt it, it's always the lunch time game because of fear of trouble.

Sell out, good atmosphere, pineaar and a couple of fresh faces give us all the ingredients for a cracker, we need to come out of the traps quick and start how we finished last season, i am going to go for a barnstorming 2-2 draw, naismith to get on the score sheet, i can't wait.

Been confirmed that Everton will face United on Monday 20th of August 8pm. Actually quite happy, the night games, especially against the "bigger" teams seem to carry a special atmosphere, and it reflects on the players' performance. Not to mention, who knows, maybe a night game can help the lads with the start, a change of scenery and all that. (Of course a new signings will undoubtedly help)
