Random quote: "I made my debut at Goodison against Stoke and was standing in the tunnel waiting to go onto the pitch. Z cars started playing on the PA and I heard the crowd roar. If I could bottle a moment and save it forever, then that would be it." Alan Harper

Two names keep being linked with a return to Goodison, Steven Pienaar, now at Spurs and LA Galaxy's Landon Donovan.

Pienaar hands down. Although would rather both.

Pienaar if we could afford him, would allow us to move Drenthe to the right and offer something down both sides for once.

2 wingers? Will Moyes be that adventurous, I mean we havent registered a shot on target in 2 games, and Moyes was happy with the team after the Arsenal game.

Pienaar does a lot of defensive work in fairness.

We also play 2 DM's at the end of the day.

Pienaar in for Coleman and I don't think we'd be that much worse of defensively really, it would also mean Pienaar giving Baines much better cover than Drenthe/Bily does. Hibbert doesn't need that as much as he generally stays behind his wide player.

I guess it all depends on the transfer fee, but maybe we could get him on loan for the rest of the season and see where that takes us?

I would love to see pineaar back, he links so well with baines and i do feel that moyes can get the best out of the lad. His creativity would give us a boost and i am sure the fans would accept him back after a few good performances. I like donovan, but i would prefer us to go for pineaar as i believe he would have a more positive effect on our performances

Official site saying deal agreed for Donovan.

Only 8 weeks which is a bit shit but better than nothing I suppose.

Massive pressure on him this time around though, having been a big success last time and now coming into a much shitter side.
