'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dick Advocates Arteta

Mikel was one of the Dutchman's signings during his tenureship at Ibrox Park with Rangers.

Advocaat told the official site, 'We bought him from Barcelona. At that time he was playing for Paris St Germain and we played in Europe against them and he played really well.

'We bought him then and he stayed for three or four years and then he went back to Spain.

'I was surprised he went back to Spain because he is a great player with great touch but at that time he was quite expensive from what I can remember.'

Despite this high praise, Advocaat pointed out that he expects a physical approach to tonight's game from his opponents.

'You can't compare Everton with Russian teams. Everton are a very physical team and are hard-working.

'They must be very hard to beat because they are unbeaten in the last eight games.'

I had a bet with my mate from newcastle that Everton would have Goodison Park more than three quarters full for every game in the UEFA Cup this season, unlike the Magpies who couldn't even half fill SJP. So far I have been proven right, and tonight Goodison Park will be buzzing yet again packed to the rafters as the official site have confirmed it is a sell out! super
