'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ventura County Fusion 0-4 Everton

David Moyes was disappointed his charges had not tested the Salt Lake goalkeeper enough during the last ninety minutes of pre-season football, however he will be delighted with the goal return in this latest result during what has been a once again productive tour of the United States.

The players and coaching staff were able to cast their eye on latest acquisition Steven Pienaar, who capped an impressive debut with a goal.

James Beattie will also be happy to have hit the goal trial oncemore, but the show was stolen by Leon Osman, who put in a goal scoring performance as well as looking Everton's most dangerous player.

Joleon Lescott was also on the scoresheet in this 'glorified training session'.

Next up for Everton, a home friendly with German outfit Werder Bremen on July 31st.

Lets hope this is the start of a goal spree for Beattie this pre-season. The goal will be good for his confidence?

lol sorry about the question mark, maybe it was a bit of rhetoric slipping in lol, lets hope he bangs a few more in.

confusion over who scored out of lescott or anichebe, apparently victor had a goal and an assist according to a local ventura county paper, yet Dominic King thinks it was lescott who bagged the goal.

not many teams put four past the mighty ventura county fusion - well done
