Tottenham & Crystal Palace Warned Off Lookman

One player could leave Goodison Park for London in January - Ross Barkley continues to be linked with Tottenham - but this isn't going to be Ademola Lookman.

Spurs and Crystal Palace have 'NO chance' in signing the England U21 international, who is attracting interest from Nigeria on the national stage too, according to the Daily Mirror.

Palace wanted to sign Lookman when the forward joined Everton from Charlton last January and have been credited with an interest again along with Spurs - the Blues aren't willing to sell despite his lack of involvement this season.

Lookman, who marked his debut with a goal in the Premier League win over Manchester City, which came in the wake of his £10m arrival - a record fee for a League One club to receive - from the Addicks, has only managed two starts this season, both in the Europa League.

The Mirror said: 'sources at the club though, suggest there is NO chance the player will be allowed to leave, with the coaching staff convinced the forward will blossom into a huge Premier League star.'

Ronald Koeman might have opted more for the more experienced options he has signed this season, overlooking the likes of Lookman and other younger players, but there's 'huge faith from the club' he, and others such as Tom Davies, will have 'a bright future' on Merseyside.

He 'has been given reassurances he will get plenty of opportunities as he progresses,' concluded the Mirror.
