Everton Agree Sigurdsson Fee With Swansea
Gylfi Sigurdsson should be an Everton player by the end of the day.
Various outlets, including the BBC, report a fee of around £45m has been agreed with Swansea.
The BBC said: 'The 27-year old will have a medical at Goodison Park on Wednesday.'
Once this deal goes through, assuming it does, Sigurdsson will become a record signing for the Blues, surpassing record breaking and equalling deals already conducted by the Toffees this summer.
(Will be) first team regulars Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen and Michael Keane have each arrived for substantial amounts and will be central to the plans this season. Whereas Sandro Ramirez could prove a bargain after Everton matched his released clause, of course Wayne Rooney returned from Manchester United too.
Sigurdsson, previously valued at £50m by Swansea, will be another missing piece in the Blues' puzzle, which when in place could help us push on for a top-four finish, certainly challenging in the domestic cups, Europa League in fact, this season.
Ronald Koeman probably wouldn't be finished once the Icelandic international arrives but, as said, Sigurdsson would be another significant piece slotted into place.
