Everton Confirm Sandro Deal

Everton Confirm Sandro Deal

It's official. Everton have confirmed the arrival of Sandro Ramirez from Malaga.

As was wildly anticipated the former Barcelona academy player has completed his transfer to Goodison Park, having agreed the formalities of this during the U21 European Championships recently.

However, contrary to the rumours of a five year contract being signed Sandro, 21, has put pen to paper on a four year deal after the Toffees met the £5.2m buy-out clause in his Malaga contract.

Sandro feels Everton is the perfect club for him to make a forward move in his career and the Spaniard aims to make the most of this step up in quality to the Premier League from La Liga at a club with big plans, which he wanted to be a part of.

He told the Official Website: 'This is a big step in my career. Everton is the ideal club for me, I've got the ideal manager who is going to keep giving me the confidence to improve my game.'

Adding: 'It's a big jump in my career coming to the Premier League and for a club like Everton which is really on the up. They have got big plans and want to succeed and keep developing.'

His arrival on Merseyside should act as a precursor to the confirmed transfer of Michael Keane from Burnley in a £25m deal, which would push Everton's summer spending towards the £100m - a clear sign the club mean business.
