New Deal For Everton's Mirallas

New Deal For Everton's Mirallas

Ahead of Everton's victory over Watford on Friday, the final fixture of the 2016-17 season at Goodison Park, the club confirmed Kevin Mirallas had signed a new long-term deal.

Mirallas, who would have been out-of-contract at the end of the season, has signed a new three year deal that will now keep him at Goodison until the summer of 2020.

Belgium international Mirallas, oh how we would love it if a certain teammate of his for club and country committed his own future to Everton, was delighted to get this contract sorted out and is now targeting 'at least one trophy' in the coming years.

He told the Official Website: 'This contract is very important for me and my family. I am very happy here - this is the best club for me. I've been here five years and it's very important for me to win a trophy here. I've said before that my dream is to win at least one trophy with Everton and I firmly believe we are heading in the right direction.'

Mirallas, signed from Olympiakos in 2012, will now look to push his performances for the club well beyond 200, scoring 39 goals for Everton so far.

Not only does Mirallas, 29, feel Everton are heading in the right direction, to challenge for silverware and Champions League football, he also praised 'amazing manager' Ronald Koeman.

Adding: 'We have an amazing manager, an amazing team, and amazing fans. This is an exciting time for the club. I hope we sign some top players to fight for the Champions League places next season.'
