Everton linked with another Barcelona star

The relationship built up between Barcelona and Everton following the signing of Gerard Deulofeu is something of a hot topic for the media.

The British media in particular have used it to link a variety of Barcelona youngsters and outcasts with a move to Goodison Park.

The latest is out-of-favour defender Adriano.

The 29-year-old wants to clarify his future with Barcelona boss Luis Enrique, hinting that he would prefer to remain at the Nou Camp but if he doesn't feature in his plans he may move elsewhere.

'I want to talk to the coach to set the record straight and leave the rumours behind if they are not true,' he told Menorca Daily.

He continued: 'I want to start the season without having to focus on rumours about where I will or will not be going.'

Adriano has a number of honours to his name from his time with Spain.

He has won the La Liga title twice, Copa Del Rey three times, Champions League once, UEFA Cup twice, UEFA Super Cup twice and the FIFA Club World Cup once.
