Manchester United & Everton chase Rodwell

Roberto Martinez is still determined to bring Jack Rodwell back to Everton from Manchester City.

Jack Rodwell has been linked with a return following his unsuccessful 18 month spell at Manchester City.

Rodwell made the move from Goodison Park to the Etihad less than two years ago in a deal that was worth an initial £12million and reportedly was set to rise to around £15million.

But after just 14 Premier League appearances, including just 7 starts, Rodwell is currently out of favour with new boss Manuel Pellegrini and it is thought that Rodwell now 23, will be thankful of the potential lifeline that Martinez is throwing him.

Some reports even suggested that Roberto Martinez tried to bring him back sooner, with a January transfer window move failing after Manchester City's move for Fernando from Porto collapsed.

Another manager who could be willing to offer him a new lease of life is David Moyes, with footballnewsdirect.com linking him with a move to Manchester United.....

.....That should prove popular for City fans.
