Everton end interest in Victor Moses

Everton end interest in Victor Moses

Everton will no longer be pursuing Victor Moses.

Reports had suggested that Roberto Martinez was quite fond of the idea of re-uniting with former Wigan favourite Moses.

The pair had worked together for two years at their former club, before Martinez sold Moses to Chelsea 11 months ago for £9million.

It is believed that new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is willing to take a loss on the 22-year-old, with an initial price-tag of £8million being banded about.

However Martinez was only interested in bringing him to Goodison Park on loan and that doesn't seem to be of interest to Chelsea.

Now with the additions of Arouna Kone and Gerard Deulofeu, it is thought that Martinez's attentions are more likely to move to other areas.

The former Wigan boss hasn't taken long to bolster his squad, signing a new goalkeeper, defender, winger and striker during his first 12 days in the job.

What are the odds a midfielder could be next on the cards?
