'If It's Football, It's Vital'

From Russia with love?

Hardly surprising that following Everton's disappointing knock out of the FA Cup that attentions seemingly turn to next season.

This season of course is far from over, we still have an outside chance of qualification for the UEFA Champions League and a very good chance of clinching a UEFA Europa League place.

But the media has turned to our possible transfer dealings in the summer.

Yesterday it was our continuing interest in FC Twente midfielder Leroy Fer.

Today it's CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda.

The 26-year-old Japan international is out-of-contract with the Russian club in December and that has apparently alerted ourselves, Italian side Fiorentina, Inter, Lazio along with Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester City.

In 19 Russian Premier League appearances this season he has scored seven goals and providing five assists, but according to Russian daily Izvestia they have been so far unable to agree a new deal and his agent has been contacted by Everton over his possible availability.
