'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Games in the Premier League are always tight

After a run of three games without a win in the Premier League, Everton collected all three points against Reading.

Everton were much the better side throughout the game but had to wait to just minutes before half time to find the break through.

Marouane Fellaini powered home the opener after Everton were rocked with the loss of Phil Jagielka after just five minutes.

'I thought we started well but the injury rocked us badly and it took us a wee while to settle after that. Everton gaffer David Moyes told The BBC.

Steven Pienaar doubled Everton's lead with a sublime 25 yarder, before Kevin Mirallas made it 3-0.

Reading did score a late consolation but that's all it was, a mere consolation.

He continued: 'Reading were always a threat, had a few chances, hit the bar.

'That is the way the Premier League is, whoever you play, the games are tight.'

Everton remain sixth in the Premier League, two points behind fifth placed Arsenal and seven points behind fourth placed Chelsea.
