'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Still in a good position insists Moyes

Back-to-back goalless draws have left Evertonians feeling a little flat.

The 0-0 draw at Goodison Park against Swansea City was followed up with a 0-0 draw away to Southampton last night.

Arguably two games that we should be looking to take all six points from if the UEFA Champions League is going to be a realistic challenge this season.

Instead due to our lack of goals, we've taken just two points.

Those four points dropped are the difference between our current fifth place spot on 38 points and a fourth place spot ahead of Tottenham on 42 points.

We would then have also only been one victory away from catching third place Chelsea.

It's fine margins at the top.

'We got better after we had a word at half-time. The chance for Jelavic was a real big chance, we are a little bit like that at the moment.' Moyes told the BBC.

He continued: 'This time last year we were stealing the goals but it will come. Kevin Mirallas and Victor Anichebe made an impact for us and a draw here is not a bad result.

'We are in a good position and we have as much chance of anyone of getting that fourth spot.'

We should be in 3rd place at least now and although Moyes has not a big squad to choose from perhaps Naismith and neville shouldnt be in the starting 11.
