'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Will M'Vila be pinched from Redknapp grasp?

It apparently wouldn't be a January day without an Everton rumour flying around regarding a possible movement in the transfer window.

We try to bring you all the new links and occasional follow ups on those apparently rumoured with our great club and the latest one is Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila.

Now most who have heard him linked with the Premier League will have thought he would end up with Harry Redknapp and Queens Park Rangers and that may well end up being the case as of course they have the money to spend.

But David Moyes is keeping a close eye on the situation according to the Daily Mail and is set to offer an alternative move, which the player may prefer (Club fighting for Champions League or Club fighting relegation?).

If it comes solely down to finances then its unlikely we can compete either on agreeing a deal with the club or personal terms, Moyes is looking for a loan move with a view to a permanent switch in the summer, spreading the cost of around £10million over many months for the 22-year-old France international.

How that will go down with Rennes isn't known but if the player prefers a move to the top end of the Premier League over the bottom end, then we could be in the running.

Would be a cracking piece of business if Moyes could pull it off. Exactly the type of midfielder we need to partner Gibson in midfield, a real defensive enforcer who covers the back 4, something I think this squad lacks (well Fellaini can do it, but is utilised up the pitch). Would be a real statement of intent from Everton about their chances for the top 4. Of course, won't be holding my breath on this, probably just paper talk like usual.

Obviously any decent player worth his salt would pick a team that can play a bit and with luck destined for glory.................................................... but that old devil called "Dosh" plays a massive part too!

I would love to think you could nick him from Harry. Apart from keeping him away from one of our relegation fighting opponents it could help you break the monopoly of the clubs that always seem to win a Champions League place.
