Baines Free Kick Reactions

Baines Free Kick Reactions

Leighton Baines equalised with a stunning free kick during the victory over Newcastle prompting praise from his manager, fellow players and our forum users.

Moyes: 'I keep saying it was about time! He takes plenty and you have to come up with your share. He was a bit disappointed he didn't score three; there was another free kick and he wriggled into the box for a chance as well.'

Anichebe: "I haven't seen a better free-kick. I was sitting on the bench and I saw him about to take it from 35 yards or whatever and I didn't think he was going to hit it. I was shouting on the bench [for him not to]. It was an unbelievable free-kick, but that just shows how good he is. '

Baines: "It was a good strike. It was quite far out to try to curl it, so I thought it best to put my foot through it. I just thought 'have it' and gave it a good whack, and it went in.

Rob-EFC: As for the equaliser, brilliant strike from Baines, who has been our best player, and tone fair the equaliser was coming'

ToffeeBlue: Superb Fk from Baines and he could have had another 2.

EvertonMike: Great strike, we needed that badly too.
