New Contract For Jagielka

Following the good news of Seamus Coleman signing on long term, star centre back Phil Jagielka has committed to the club until 2017. The deal is a two year extension to his current contract at the club.

Since signing for the club Jagielka has been a key player forming the best defensive partnership in the league with Joleon Lescott before Lescott left the club to sign for Manchester City. Jagielka has since continued to play well alongside replacements Heitinga and Distin.

Due to injuries Jagielka has been used at right back several times in recent weeks helping Everton to three wins in their last four games.
