Man of the match Vs Chelsea

In our closest man of the match poll for a while, no doubt due to a generally poor level of performance, first place was short term signing Thomas Hitzlsperger following a solid performance in midfield earning 30% of the vote. Hitzlsperger has done well when called upon due to injuries since being handed a short term deal, likely doing enough to earn an extension.

Second place was Victor Anichebe with 26% of the vote, returning from injury the Nigerian is in good form and worked hard against Chelsea.

Third place was man of the match regular Steven Pienaar with 22% of the vote.

Everton travel to Newcastle tonight in need of three points having fallen five points off the top four.
