The England international continued a fine season with a deflected strike and an all round solid performance, earning 82% of the vote.

In a distant second place was fellow goalscorer Phil Jagielka with 13%, Jagielka headed home a Phil Neville cross in what turned out to be the winner during the game.

Third place with 3% was Steven Pienaar.
