No Gibson Suspension

Everton star Darron Gibson has avoided a suspension after being sent off in the 2-1 victory over West Ham after a successful Everton appeal.

With Everton having lodged an appeal after the game Gibson was available to play in the boxing day victory over Wigan with the case due to be considered today.

Unfortunately, Everton being Everton, Gibson picked up an injury in the Wigan game and could now miss the games he avoided being banned for anyway.

West Ham forward Carlton Cole also avoided a ban after a similar incident.

It was the right call in the end, unfortunately, as you said, he got a thigh strain and is probably going to miss the matches with injury. Huge loss.
