Moyes : Everton will appeal Gibson red

Everton came from behind to beat West Ham this afternoon in a game that will be remembered for three refereeing decisions. Leon Osman had a perfectly good goal ruled out early in the game, before West Ham saw Carlton Cole sent off for a collision with Baines with the game at 1-1 and finally Darren Gibson was sent off in stoppage time.

Blues manager David Moyes after the game on the red cards:

'I think I will appeal. I don't think you could say it would be frivolous. Most people would say there is a genuine case. '

'You have got to be careful you don't end up getting more games, but I don't think that would be the case for either Gibson or Cole. I think both have got good cases for being rescinded.'

Hardly surprised, both were the wrong decision by the referee. Hopefully the right thing happens and they are free to play on Boxing Day, because both sides could use their player.
