Everton's FA Cup opponents to be decided tonight

Everton's FA Cup third round fate will be decided this evening at Edgar Road, the home of Conference Premier side Hereford United.

The non league club face League Two side Cheltenham after the two clubs played out a 1-1 draw in front of the ESPN cameras last week.

This kind of fixture is exactly what the FA Cup is all about as the winner gets a home draw against us.

The game, no matter who it will be, has been selected for television on Monday January 7th, with both clubs receiving 135,850 from ESPN.

In terms of the gigantic television fees we receive from the Premier League it might not sound much, but for teams like Hereford and Cheltenham it's the kind of money that can help secure a club for the immediate future.

"We know the tickets have gone very well and we`re looking forward to a good crowd, It`s not the end of the world if we get knocked out but, financially, we know it`s sat there for us and it`s the future of the club." Hereford manager Martin Foyle told The Echo.

Cheltenham manager Mark Yates added: "There`s no way we`re going to take them anything other than majorly seriously. They`re a good side with good players and we have to be on top of our game.

"We have to make sure we`re solid, we have to make sure we try and play the way we want to play with a bit of tempo, but sides don`t always let you.
