'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Naismith hopes for more to come

Steven Naismith bagged his first Premier League goal for Everton against Liverpool on Sunday.

He couldn't have picked a better game for it to come in, the equalising goal after the Blues fell two goals behind early on against the Reds.

But good things come to those who wait and the 26-year-old has had to wait for his chance since moving to Goodison Park.

He of course had to get over his injury, but he's now had a few starts and made ten appearances and now he thinks he's set to build on his move.

'At least I'm off the mark now for Everton and I can build on it, This first period is about settling in and getting used to the training. he told Sky Sports.

He continued: 'I never came expecting to play every week. But I work hard every day to get back to where I was before and this was just another step towards that.'
