Everton set to make Hitzlsperger decision
It's coming up to judgement day for 30-year-old former Germany international Thomas Hitzlsperger.
The former Aston Villa and West Ham midfielder joined up with Everton last month and reports on Wednesday had suggested that we had offered him a short-term deal.
However according to The Echo those particular reports were a bit premature.
It might still happen for the midfielder, but with positive news coming regarding Darron Gibson's possible return, his chance may have gone.
He has apparently impressed during his one month trial and has become popular on the training ground. He's featured against Norwich City as one of the permitted over-age players in the new Premier League Under-21's league and also in a behind closed doors friendly win over Huddersfield on Tuesday.
But with question marks remaining over his fitness he may still have to feature again to convince David Moyes and assistant manager Steve Round.
