Fellaini out for three weeks with injury

Marouane Fellaini is set to miss the next three weeks with a knee injury.

The big Belgian has picked up a knee injury against Wigan, no surprise considering the tactics they used on him. Fellaini aggravated the injury whilst training for Belgium, they seem to think it will be a 3 week injury, sees him miss the 2 Belgian qualifiers and is listed as a big doubt for the QPR game but it is too early to say whether he will miss the derby or not.

Fingers crossed he gets back as soon as he can, integral part of our football this season, and will be a big loss for us. Although, think we are well stocked in that position, would love to see Mirallas, if Fellaini is injured, get the start in behind Jelavic against QPR, think with his eye for goal, dribbling, pace and movement, he can be a real threat for us.

Although we probably have the best squad under Moyes' tenure, compared to the other teams gunning for the top 4, it is small, generally we have cover for every position, but the quality in depth is nowhere that of our rivals for top 4, I mean we need to play Neville in the centre of our midfield!

One option could be Hitzlsperger, who has recently been on trial at Everton. The problem with Hitzlsperger is that his fitness is very poor, hasn't played in a while and the Everton staff has pointed out that fitness is the big issue right now, so even if we signed him up, he may not be ready for a full intensity 90min game.

As all clubs, we will need a bit of luck with injuries, however, if we can avoid major injuries to Baines, Pienaar, Jelavic and Fellaini, then I think we are in with a decent shot for 4th, that quartet will be vital however for our chances.

January will be key also, with the teams around us most likely investing heavily, we will need to sign a couple players, mainly a central midfielder and wouldn't mind having Donovan back for another spell, am hoping we are still in the hunt by then, and maybe the board and Bill realise we have a decent shot at finishing in the lucrative CL spot and give a little bit extra for Moyes to buy.

Guess we will have to wait and see really, and hopefully we get a bit lucky soon (have had rotten luck so far).
