Fellaini set to leave Everton

Marouane Fellaini will leave Everton soon, that's if the Belgium international gets his way.

It's just typical at the point when we run a few articles discussing just how promising the future at Goodison Park looks, with an entertaining squad assembled by David Moyes that this bombshell is dropped during the international window.

Marouane Fellaini has often been linked with moves away from Everton and has in the past been an apparent target for Chelsea and Manchester City, but he recently signed a new £75,000-per-week, five-year-deal at Goodison Park, suggesting to some that he was happy to see just how far he could go with Everton.

Now we know in the past that the likes of Johnny Heitinga have gone away on international duty, said something that's been lost in translation and context and appeared to want away from Everton.

So as this is the first instance of that, then the benefit of the doubt could be handed to Fellaini, at least until he gets the chance to comment on it in England to the English media.

But for now take this comment for what it's worth: 'I am just starting my fifth season at Everton, this will be one of my last,' he told Het Nieuwsblad.

Not too bad, until he added: 'I have seen everything. In January or at the end of the season I will turn to another club or championship.'

I can't see how that remark has been lost in translation! It's pretty clear, it's a come and get me plea once the transfer window opens.

Fingers crossed that with him signing a long contract he doesn't have a small release clause written in the small print and David Moyes can work his magic in the transfer window to find a replacement.

Not the first time, this type of stuff has come up on the international break. It happened to Fellaini a year ago, when asked whether he would like to play CL he said yes, and the reporter created some bull how he was set to leave Everton. Fellaini was quick to end this non-story, he said on his official Facebook and twitter, that he is happy at Everton and looking forward to the season with Everton.

As we all know 50% of what you read in the press is either at worst, complete cow dung or at best, total exaggeration. This i do know------If Everton achieve what we are capable of this season no one will be going anywhere!
