Everton look set to miss out on duo

David Moyes may have missed out on both M'Baye Niang and Charlie Adam over the weekend.

Caen had agreed a £2million fee for Frenchman M'Baye Niang and Everton would have hoped that he would have come over to England over the bank holiday weekend to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.

However Italian side AC Milan have matched the £2million bid and Everton are now stuck in a tug-of-war over the 17-year-old.

The Mirror believe that his chances of development closer to first team level at Everton could persuade his parents that England is the right move for him, but obviously Milan is an attractive proposition for a young lad.

The same British tabloid believe that our hopes of taking Charlie Adam from the red half of Merseyside has also taken a knock.

Brendan Rodgers wants £5million for the 26-year-old or to use him as bait in a deal which would take Clint Dempsey from Fulham.

That price-tag is likely to put us off a move, as despite the sale of Jack Rodwell to Manchester City we're hardly a cash rich club all of a sudden and with Stoke willing to match the price, Moyes's hopes of striking a deal look slim.

Not too fussed about Adam at all if we miss out, think Moyes can find better value elsewhere in the market, don't like the thought of giving the *****e money for Adam. As for Niang, young lad, had his head turned by the lure of AC Milan, doesn't want to be here, then so be it.
