Everton win race for Mirallas

Everton have fought off the attention of Arsenal for Kevin Mirallas.

This afternoon Everton announced the signing of the Olympiacos striker on a four-year-deal.

The 24-year-old Belgian moves to Goodison Park for a fee reportedly of around £6 million.

'I'll give my best for the fans and the team and they'll be able to see what I can bring to the team,' Mirallas told evertonfc.com

David Moyes has wanted to bolster his attacking options and has had the cash from the Jack Rodwell sale burning a hole in his pocket.

Mirallas certainly ticks the right boxes due to his versatility.

He added: 'I'm a forward player and I can play behind the striker, on the left and on the right but I'm just looking forward to playing whatever the position.

'I'm very impatient to play. I want to know what the Premier League is all about.'

Apparently we've missed the deadline with the Premier League for Mirallas to be available for Monday's game against Manchester United.

The Premier League suits will be back in work on Monday and will get the transfer signed off for him to be available for selection against Aston Villa.
