Moyes ponders move for Mirallas

Isn't all this Everton transfer talk exciting?

I know it wasn't the greatest news to hear Tim Cahill leaving for pastures new in America with MLS side New York Red Bulls and was even worse news to hear future star Jack Rodwell flogged off to Manchester City.

But one thing that has been needed at Everton for a couple of years is new blood and we've certainly been getting that this summer.

From Naismith and Pienaar (ok not 'new' as such) to other possible new signings it's all a bit exciting.

David Moyes is unlikely to have the full transfer fee from the Rodwell sale available to him, but it would seem according to the papers at least that he will have some additional funds to add to the team.

While Clint Dempsey is unlikely, we are now getting heavy reports that one target could be Olympiacos striker Kevin Mirallas who would be available for around £5million.

The 24-year-old Belgian is a long-standing target for Moyes and with cash to splash, perhaps now is the time for Moyes to make his move?

The players has even put out a far from cryptic 'come and get me' plea to the Belgian media.

While at the Belgian training camp, Mirallas was asked if he had any interest in playing in the Premier League, to which he said: 'Moving to England would be good for me. It would be good for my family and a good opportunity.`

Sounds like a good match to us.

If we can somehow sign him, it would represent an absolutely brilliant deal. 5/6mil for a lad who is still young (24) who can play upfront or on the flanks, 2 positions we need quality, and not to mention the lad has pace what this squad is lacking and technically is brilliant. Fingers crossed for this one, hopefully Fellaini can have a word to him about Everton
