Everton still braced for Man Utd bid?

Everton have once again been linked with a new left back to replace Leighton Baines, only Baines has not gone anywhere.

Manchester United have been linked with 27-year-old Baines throughout the summer, the media have continually linked Baines with the move but despite suggesting a £15million bid would be imminent, nothing official has ever been made by Sir Alex Ferguson.

It got to the point where earlier this week an unnamed Everton source declared the rumour mill as 'not true' and stated that the club was actually 'fed up' with the speculation.

The Goodison Park source gave ESPN the update, but clearly didn't pass on the information to the Mirror journalists, or of course the British tabloid may have heard new information. Either way, Baines is once again amongst the back pages.

The Mirror believe that Manchester United are about to get serious in their moves and while awaiting a bid, Moyes is obviously going to put together a contingency plan.

Previously this was reported as 26-year-old Juventus left-back Reto Zeigler, but its now been suggested that Moyes preferred option could be 22-year-old FC Copenhagen left-back Bryan Oviedo.

The Costa Rica international has just one year remaining on his contract and would be available for around £3million.

Ironically during a recent scouting mission however David Moyes had company, as he was was joined by a representative from Manchester United.

getting tiresome and increasing by the wagon load this story. I cant see him moving myself and will feel better better when the season starts and Bainsey bursts the roof of the onionbag with a screamer of a free kick against Manchester Untidy!
