Pienaar set for Everton switch

It would seem that most people in the media have become bored with Steven Pienaar's off-on move back to Everton from Tottenham.

It would appear that linking us with Michael Owen appears to be a much more attractive story to write about and while we at Vital Everton have obviously covered it, we feel it's far more likely that Steven Pienaar will be the bit of transfer business that we will actually conclude this week.

It's been dragging along all summer thanks to the delays induced by Spurs superiority complex following the sacking of Harry Redknapp, with fourth place in the Premier League no longer deemed good enough for a club who is usually looked upon as the third biggest club in London.

But now Chelsea flop AVB has been put in place, the Pienaar deal now seems to be moving ahead again with the Daily Express reporting that Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has negotiated a deal with an initial fee of £2.5million which could rise to £5million.

With South African Pienaar desperate to get away from White Hart Lane it looks likely that this could could be finally wrapped up soon.

From third best in London to third best in Liverpool behind LUFC and Liverpool reserves. Take him back, please.

Shouldn't be too long till he is comes home. Just minor details now and from the price I am hearing, absolutely brilliant. This was something that needed to happen for Everton, influential to our play and thrives at this club. Think if he was given a chance at Spurs, he could have been a successful, but playing in the same position as one of the best in the league in Bale was always going to be tough.
