Everton officially unveiled our new home strip this morning, six weeks after most of us set our eyes on it for the first time.
The new kit was casually just hanging up in the background of the Everton TV video which appeared on the official website when Everton officially launched the rather stylish black shirt.
It didn't take long for it to go viral and get people talking, a clever marketing plan or just a cock up? I'm sure the staff at Everton will claim the former!
So on to the kit which will be on sale next week, well thankfully it remains blue (sorry Cardiff fans) and remains in a classic style with a white v neck and (rather large) white cuffs.
It of course, like the black kit is made from Nike Dri-Fit fabric which is lightweight and manages perspiration, presumably by coming with some antiperspirant (yes I know I made that joke last month and no-one laughed then either) and also like the black shirt it is made from 100% recycled material.
So what do we make of it? Well as we've been discussing it for the past six weeks, here is what the Vital Everton fans made of it:
The three kits for this year would have all been great except for the ridiculous sleeves on the home kit. Whoever came up with that idea... EvertonMike
Last seasons home kit was fantastic, but this years one is alright. I actually think it might look better on the players when they're playing, but for me I'll be buying the away kit for sure, with Jelavic 7 on the back. Everton_77
I dont understand what is so difficult, is it too hard to ask for a nice and plain royal blue kit, with no unnecessary sleeves and stuff? Rob-EFC
It's not bad, but I prefer the black one, apparently it will be more slimming... Yak
