'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Emerging Expectations

A DRAB European competition saw England's national stars crash out in the quarter finals of the 2012 Euro's, leaving despair and heartbreak among the entire nation; but for Everton a greater incentive to succeed next season.

Everton supporters will be used to this disappointing re-occurrence and are hopeful that this season will be a successful one.

Unused Everton compatriots Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines were saddened after being inactive at the Euro's 2012 in Poland and Ukraine, and have pledged that they will be ready come the beginning of the pre-season hurdle.

Morouane Fellaini is another Everton player whose frustration has began to emerge through the national press after stating 'I have been at Everton for four years and each time we have started badly, so I hope this year we start well.'

Everton's first game is on 18th August and is set to prove a difficult task for David Moyes's men, facing revenge-seeking Manchester United who look to topple their local rivals Manchester City after their 2011/2012 Premier League triumph on the final day of last season.

With just 6 weeks until the English Premier League kicks off, it really does promise to be an adrenaline clinching campaign, and with Everton priced at 250/1 to win the league and 16/1 to win the FA cup could dreams really come true?

If we do our business early, like we seem to be doing now, with Naismith and potentially Pranjic, then I think the squad can have time to gel and we can finally get off to that good start. Naismith, Pranjic, Pienaar and maybe Rodallega and a couple of loan signings and it will provide the fans confidence ahead of the new season, and with United at home, the atmosphere would be electric, which would help the boys for motivation.
