'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wallace departs for Tranmere

James Wallace has made the move from Everton to Tranmere for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who has been with Everton since he was 13 joined Tranmere on loan in January and made 18 appearances for the club during the final half of the season.

He has impressed Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore so much that he has signed a two-year-deal at Prenton Park.

'I'm absolutely delighted to have signed for Tranmere and am just looking forward to getting the season started. he told evertonfc.com

He added: 'I thought it was a good challenge to see if I can come here, progress and play well for the club again.'

It's great to see another player come through the youth groups at Everton and enter the professional game.

Obviously we would all like to see them go on and become stars for Everton, but not every player will develop into a Ross Barkley or even a Wayne Rooney.

But seeing them develop to a standard that fits the Football League is also great and who knows, regular first team football may well see them develop further and in a couple of years time we can curse why we let him go!

Champion Willy .... Clearly too young for your team. He didn't like all the false teeth, bus passes and trusses in the changing room and did a Gosling and deserted.
