Big Vic off to Wigan?

Reports in the media this morning suggest that David Moyes could free up the funds needed to sign Steven Pienaar from Spurs, by selling Victor Anichebe to Wigan.

Despite South African International Steven Pienaar being surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, Spurs still want around £5million for him.

Obviously at Everton, £5million is not easy to come by and so David Moyes might be tempted to part with Big Vic to raise the required funds to seal Pienaar`s Goodison return.

If that was indeed David Moyes's plan then unfortunately there are a lot of if's, but's and maybe's attached to this particular deal.

Wigan will only be interested in signing Victor Anichebe, if Wigan chairman Dave Whelan caves into Chelsea's interest in Victor Moses.

He's a key part of Roberto Martinez's plans at Wigan, but with only 12 months remaining on his contract they are susceptible to big offers, although so far have resisted a £4million move.

It is thought they want around £8million, or ideally to agree new personal terms to extend his contract, but as we know, ironically in regards to the Pienaar deal, teams will sell if they believe they are at risk of losing a player for free when they run out of contract.

Wigan would get a fee if he stays till the end of his contract as he is under 24.

Champion Willy .... Only problem here is that maths don't add up. Dreadlocks would cost five million bu Anchibe would raise what ...a few hundred thousand.....even the wild bull of the pampas got in ahead of this guy. Good idea to dump him but don't expect a lot of money you Toffeemen. What about taking Santa Cruz ....just your type and right age for rest of squad.

Nah mate, Santa Cruz is a mercenary, therefore he is destined to stay at City for life and probably inducted as one of your greats. As for Ancihebe, I am led to believe there is some truth in this rumour, a lad I follow about Everton has stated that it is a distinct possibility, it all hinged on whether Martinez remained at Wigan, which he has, and Martinez does rate Anichebe. Would gladly sacrifice Anichebe if it meant getting Pienaar, Anichebe is *****e, not to mention an arrogant**** from what I have heard.

We have the Redundant Four we have to get rid off ..... Adebayor on an obscene amount of money £170k per week, Santa Cruz on £90k per week, Bridge also on £90k (no comment) and Weiss, who is not bad and could probably hold down a Premiership role. Add to this Kolo Toure who is getting on a bit and we have a few to ship out ....then the cheque book can come out. Its tough at the top you know ......only joking Toffeemen and remember the 4-4 ......great performance.

For once, i agree with Willy here, he's right , it was 4-4. As regards big Vic i'd get rid of him yesterday! he adds nothing to the style of football that is coming back to EVERTON=NSNO.
