Jelavić continues goal scoring run

Nikica Jelavić continued his form in front of goal for Croatia last night against the Republic of Ireland.

While the headlines might concentrate on other parts of that particular game last night, as an Everton site we will concentrate on our star striker, who got his name on the score sheet once again.

It's a good habit to have and hopefully he can continue this form right through the Euro 2012 tournament and into the new Premier League campaign!

"I'm happy, this was difficult game, Three points are vital. Jelavić told the European media.

He continued: "We deserved this result and played very well. I didn't see my goal at all, I just saw the goal and one touch was enough, as always.

"It's not so difficult to transfer my form from league for the country, I'm here three years.

"It is always about giving one hundred percent, tonight I scored so that worked out."

His goal against Ireland was his 29th of the season in 49 appearances for Croatia, Rangers and Everton.
