Would Moyes really walk?

The big news over the weekend was that according to the media anyway, David Moyes is prepared to walk out on Everton if his big name players are sold.

We all know the financial restrictions around Goodison Park and an invisible for sale board has been up outside the ground for years.

Moyes has continued to work miracles keeping us competitive under the circumstances, but with a number of debts at some stage it is going to be heavily considered that we should cash in on some of our star assets.

Marouane Fellaini has been linked with a £20million move to Chelsea, while the rumour mill has surrounded Manchester United's reported interest in Leighton Baines for the past couple of months.

The left-back could move for somewhere in the ball park figure of £15 million.

Just like all Evertonian's David Moyes is said to be coming increasingly disillusioned with having to constantly swim against the tide while managing Everton and some reports even suggest that if players are sold behind his back, then he would walk.

David Moyes and Bill Kenwright will sit down soon to discuss the budget, Moyes will be hoping for some money to spend, not only on possible new targets, but also on long term improved contracts to tie down the squad we currently have.

If BK however has bad news for Moyes, what will the future hold for Everton?

Champion Willy here ... What Moyes knows as does every level headed supporter is to survive financially you have to sell just as clubs in the lower divisions do. Not a gloat just a reality and then you have to play smart in the market at getting value players a you did with Fellaini.... That's th reality if people face the facts. Still haven't forgotten the four all you lovely Toffees.

would you blame him if he did? Seems to do a great job without any backing but fans expectations don't usually go down despite players being sold do they? Seems to be on a hiding to nothing?
