Everton chase Sigurdarson

Following on from our Vital Everton article that we have been priced out of the chase for Jordan Rhodes, we have now been linked with Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson.

The 21-year-old Icelandic international is priced at a much more realistic £3million and there appears to only be competition from Wolves, who following their relegation should mean that we have a clear shot at getting the Lillestrom striker.

He also has football in the blood, with three half brothers who have played professional football.

Bjarni Guðjónsson played for a number of English teams most notably Stoke.

Þórður Guðjónsson had loan spells with Derby and Preston, while Joey Guðjónsson played for Burnley and Leicester.

There is serious interest from Everton, he has been watched a couple times by the scouts, looks like him and Naismith are the major targets, possibly this lad is the back up plan to Naismith? Who knows.
