After covering Royston Drenthe's accusations towards Barcelona's Lionel Messi, it's only fair to hear the other side of the story.
Well, when we say the 'other side' we actually mean a statement released to the media by Barcelona.
Messi himself has not commented.
The statement read: "The player has always shown a maximum respect and sportsmanship towards his rivals, something which has been recognised by his fellow professionals many times, and we are sure that any accusations to the contrary are well wide of the mark.
"His behaviour throughout his career has always been exemplary."
I'm sure Barcelona would have preferred to have made no comment at all, but the Spanish giants will hope that this brief statement will bring an end to the matter before it escalates into anything further.
