'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'HARD TIMES'

We are used to austerity supporting Everton in this age of bankers bonuses and the tightening of belts for the rest of us.

What does alarm me though is the economic division that appears to be happening between fans of different teams on various websites.

During the last decade or so a whole host of 'Sugar Daddies' have taken over a few teams. Some of their fans have been guilty of letting it go to their heads and forgetting when they were skint!

Just when Everton are at long last developing a really good football team the vultures are already circling. Discussing who they are going to buy (as cheap as possible) and for players already on a long contract with us!

It makes you laugh when you think back ; When Everton with the late John Moores as Director, were the richest team in the land and were known as the 'Cheque Books of Europe!'

How indeed times change!

However with investment surely on the horizon we will keep our best players and compete with the best.

COYB!

Nicely said mate, this club deserves the money to be able to compete at the top (even 10-20mil a window will do), what Moyes has done with this club, in this day and age, is short of miraculous, the thought of Everton with money should be a scary thought for any team, lets hope it is sooner rather than later, although, looking at some of the other takeovers, we can count ourselves lucky that we have an owner who does actually give a crap about the club, he undoubtedly tries to get as much as possible for Moyes to spend, there is no doubting that.

I must admit i have had my doubts about DM for sometime now but i am beginning to change my mind now , after all the results are there season after season. it was refreshing to read that Moyes is now taking a positive approach for the ambitions of our great club.It seems at last the message is getting through to him, attacking football is the way forward! (unintentional pun there!) Ok so you also need a solid defence but there is no doubting the fact we are getting together a very good team to watch-this i hope will go towards attracting investment.
