Jagielka eyes Euro 2012 spot
Now that England have qualified for next years European Championships, Everton's Phil Jagielka wants to continue his form to earn his spot in the squad.
Neither Jags or Leighton Baines were involved in England's 2-2 draw in Montenegro last Friday despite being involved in the squad.
Both have been on the fringes of a major tournament squad before and Jags doesn't want to miss out on Fabio Capello's squad for Poland and Ukraine in 2012.
"Playing well for Everton is all I can do to hope to be in the squad come the end of the season," said Jagielka to the Daily Post.
He added: "Time is running out for me to be involved in a major tournament and I would love to be picked for the squad.
"Hopefully I can be all right on both of those counts (injury and form) and get the chance to go."
