For regular readers of Vital Everton you will be all too aware that I lost my patience with John Heitinga many, many months ago.
The Dutchman appeared to be more interested in touting himself off to any club linked to him by the media than playing for Everton.
He was open to moved to Germany, Spain, Italy, Holland, Manchester City..basically any club to get away from Goodison Park.
Now the 27-year-old appears to have taken to whining to try and find his place back into David Moyes's good books.
'Together with Phil Neville, I have more experience than all the others. I have played in four major national team tournaments and I have played the World Cup final. said Heitinga in the Sunday Mirror.
He added: 'It's strange for me to sit on the bench at Everton. I will always claim that I am the best central defender at this club - definitely since the World Cup.
The annoying thing is, that on the pitch and in form and committed, I like him, he very much is my kind of player, but his comments in the press infuriate me.
You earn you place in the team through hard work on the training pitch and performances in an Everton shirt, not living off past achievements, especially when that includes playing for one of the nastiest and uninspiring Dutch sides of a generation.
In his interview he goes on to moan about David Moyes's management style that he doesn't talk much and doesn't explain his decisions to the players.
He also refuses to ever play right-back again for Everton and has informed David Moyes of this (and yet he can't work out why he has fallen out of favour with Moyes).
He also isn't worried about his future because clubs such as Bayern Munich were interested in him in January.
He concluded: 'I'm not worried about the future. My career is still going up. I can tell that by the massive clubs who came knocking on the door for me in the winter.
If you are a betting man, perhaps now is the time to have a flutter on Heitinga leaving Everton at the end of the season.
