'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Owen really?

It is well and truly silly season, the transfer window has opened and the rumours just keep flying out. Manchester United's Michael Owen to Everton, Yakubu to Championship side Leicester City are just two from today.

We all know David Moyes is desperate for a striker and with the finances as they are a loan deal is the only realistic option.

So that limits what is on offer, but Michael Owen? He makes Louis Saha look fit.

If he stayed fit then he would undoubtedly score goals. He isn't the speed merchant he was when in red, but he's still a goal poacher.

The problem is that if when discussing if he can stay fit is massive, it would be a massive gamble and not a gamble we're in a position to make in my opinion.

I would prefer to stick with The Yak, he was beginning to show signs of returning to his former self before being dropped for no apparent reason.

Internet reports now link him with a move away from Goodison. Yesterday it was West Ham, today Leicester! But if Ronaldinho can be linked to Blackburn then I guess anything is possible.

maybe Saha is lonely on the sick bed and needs Owen as company so they can reminisce over their goals over the years and gossip about Fergie

Wish Saha was on the sick bed, seems to be the only way Moyes will drop him!
