'If It's Football, It's Vital'

So what is the answer for Everton?

We seriously need to win tonight.

I don't think it is much of an exaggeration, that Everton are desperate for a win tonight against Hull City.

Our recent victory over West Ham United, was quickly forgotten with a poor performance against Manchester United.

We remain in the wrong half of the table, while we also face the visit of Liverpool to Goodison Park on Sunday.

Three points is a must, but just how do we go about getting them with the players currently available?

Here on Vital Everton, we were quite critical of the formation used against Manchester United.

While our current poll has 36% of users wanting us to revert to a 4-4-2 formation, while another 24% would like to see us try 5-3-2.

While 30% would like us to continue with one up front.

"I`m sure everyone has opinions about what we can do but take it from me I`m trying everything I can to find something which might work better," Everton gaffer David Moyes told the Daily Post.

He went on to add: "We have no wide players right now and we have players who have to come out as we feel we have overplayed them. We are trying to introduce new players to the team as well but we have also got suspensions.

"It is by far the worst injury list I have had as a manager but what`s the point in me coming out and saying that? I`m sure there are managers who have had far more than me. You just have to get on with it and we will do it.

I did vote 4-5-1 but that was because I thought the poll referred to when all players are fit. At present I think we should try 5-3-2, but I'd be happy with 4-4-2. Moyes just seems to prefer to play players out of position than in their natural position or one very very similar. With the players at our disposal at the minute, 5-3-2 is the only way we can play players in positions they are comfortable with. But no doubt we'll see Cahill switched to the wing and someone like Jo playing centre mid. I don't have many criticisms of Moyes, but this is one of them. He is very much stuck in his ways.

we have three excellent strikers in the yak, saha and jo, so what use are they sitting on the bench because moyes insists on a 5-4-1 system, when we are a goal down he immediately brings one of them on and reverts to 4-4-2, why can't he use that system all the time, everton look like a beaten side with a 8 man defence and our lone striker often coming back to help, there's no vision no close passing and watching our defenders hoof the ball upfield is pathetic, we have a cracker in bilyaletdinov who needs to be used more along with baines, they link up real good and i can't wait for pienaar to return as the left side of our team will be awesome, so lets get back to attacking football not sitting back hoping the opposition wont score and pray that we get a lucky break and score
