Slow progress for Osman

Leon Osman admits it is a slow and frustrating process, while waiting to make his come back from a foot injury.

There was hope last week that he could have been in contention for a return against Manchester United.

But just like Neville and Pienaar, it was a game to soon for Osman, who now looks set to miss another couple of games, with matches against Hull and Liverpool coming over the next few days.

'It's slow progress and it's a bone injury and they don't heal like muscle injuries or bruises. Osman told EvertonTV.

It's been a long wait for Osman and he went on to add: 'They originally said about four weeks and then a specialist said six weeks.'

But finally for Osman, he is now beginning to feel an improvement: 'I am finally starting to feel like I am making progress.'

Its brings the question why were we told they were close to being fit for united, when it looks likely only pienaar will be fit for the derby and even that isn't anywhere near certain
EvertonMike
it makes no difference who is fit or not if moyes opts to pick a formation as he did at united, there was no way we could have won that game and i honestly believe moyes expects to lose at united, we seem to fold up and die waiting for the inevitable to happen, how can any team win with 8 defenders and our lone striker coming back to help for corners and free kicks

We should have played a reserve side if we were just going to play to lose, so we could at least rest up for Hull a bit. Cahill and saha both played injured they could have been rested, and been fully fit by now
EvertonMike
Great news, it turns out Phil Neville is going to take another 3 weeks to recover after aggravating a cartilage tear, apparently his surgeon said it would be pointless to operate on it while it was minor, what an absolute joke! Ridiculous! We aren't just recovering from injuries, we are recovering from set backs, when someone comes to within a sniff of full training we are hit with STUPID RIDICULOUS niggly injuries like this. Really does my head in! We won't have a full squad all season at this rate >.<
