Everton full back Lars Jacobsen is hoping he'll make his long awaited debut against Newcastle this weekend, 6 months after joining Everton on a free transfer.
Lars was brought in when Hibbert was injured, and Moyes was really struggling to name a midfield with senior players (sound familiar?), the simple answer deemed to be sign Jacobsen and push Neville into midfield.
However, whilst away on international duty a matter of weeks after signing, Lars suffered a serious shoulder injury and only returned to training at the start of the year. Since then his only senior game has been an international one lasting 60 minutes, it's not ideal to have to play Lars, but once again - who the hell else are we going to play?
Everton will have Jo back from being cup tied, however the patched up side that beat Villa in the cup will be missing both Hibbert and Tim Cahill. Either Castillo or Jacobsen will have to deputise for Hibbert, and I dared to dream we'd never have to see Castillo in a blue shirt again...
'I don't know what will happen on Sunday,'
'If the manager wants me to play, I'll be ready to play. It's up to him to decide. I haven't been playing a lot of matches recently so it's up to him to decide if I'm ready. I just have to keep pushing and training and progressing everyday and we'll see when I can play. But it's up to the manager.
'It would mean a lot to me. I've been here for over half a year now so, of course, it is something that I would like to do very soon. But again, I just have to be patient and wait for the chance.'
'It's very important because it`s always important to prove that you can play in those kind of games - Premier Leauge games,'
'You need to take your chance when you get it. It's the same thing for every player every week, so you have to take it every time.'
